This Woody Davis was in the majors in 1938 as a pitcher. There is also a Woody Davis who was a star hitter in 1938 and 1939 in the Alabama-Florida League. I'm assuming that these are two different players, since this second Woody Davis doesn't seem to have been among the pitching leaders. - Randy 00:39 24 March 2007 (EDT)

Correct. Woodrow W. Davis (this one) was in the International League and American League in 1938 and SAL and IL in 1939. The other Woody Davis spent his career almost entirely in small southern loops. - --Mischa 15:36, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
