In the summer of 82 or 83 (the years are together in my mind) my wife and I would come to the ball park and watch Tommy play. He was fantastic. We loved watching the way he played - the way he dug in to hit - and the way he ran. The Reds should have called him up much sooner from Indianapolis and played him regularly.
