I am a great niece of Sweetbreads Bailey. His brother, Elisha Harold Bailey was my grandfather. We have his hand written journal documenting his entry into the Cub organization. He died of a pituitary gland tumor. He was never married. My grandfather (who has passed) told me that Uncle Linc could wrap his very large hand around a baseball completely covering that ball. He pitched in the 'dead ball' era when baseballs were constructed very differently.
