Removed reference to Jenks... Takatsu was already gone when Jenks took over as closer.-Chisoxfan 20:46, 13 September 2006 (EDT)

I like to paint the picture. The picture is that Shingo was the star from 2004, then he had a couple bad outings in early 2005, Dustin replaced him, and then Jenks came in and got the glory in the World Series. To me, that's all one story. When you saw Jenks getting the spotlight in the Series - that would have been Shingo's if he could have pitched in 2005 like he did in 2004. - Randy 22:03 13 September 2006 (EDT)

I disagree. The story you're telling is fitting for an article about the 2005 Sox, not Takatsu. Takatsu is a part of the first few chapters of the story, but once Hermanson takes over, he is really a footnote... and by the time Jenks comes along, he's a total non-factor. I understand what you're doing and the value of putting things in context, but at the same time, I feel things need to stay a little more focused on the subject at hand rather than painting too broad a picture. -Chisoxfan 22:14, 13 September 2006 (EDT)
