Talk:Senior Professional Baseball Association

I think the teams should get their own page. So many ex-major leaguers that these teams are each significant alone. Would this be considered minor league? These teams could be categorized as Minor League Teams.--Pti 09:26, 21 Sep 2005 (EDT)
I agree and probably will create pages for all the teams. Do you think they should be classified at minor league, or do you think I should create a category for SPBA teams? I'm leaning towards the latter, but any thoughts are appreciated.--Tim
Maybe both. You could put the teams as category:Minor League Teams but also Category:SPBA. That way you could also put that SPBA category on the individual players, managers, ballparks etc. so it is easily distinguished from the regular minor leagues. --Pti 15:55, 26 Sep 2005 (EDT)
Was the SPBA considered an official minor league? If not, I would not include it with minor league teams. Maybe with the "Other Teams" category like the Bismarck Churchills.
I added a Category:SPBA to try to fit this in with the League category. Does this work for people? I think the way to deal with teams that don't fit standard categories is to give them a category under leagues.

[edit] Video of The Senior League?
In the summer of 1989 I remember watching some of the Senior League Games as they were telecast on weekends. Not sure what network they were on, possibly ESPN, or its precursor. I know one of the telecast games was the West Palm Beach Tropics.
Now heres an interesting question.........are any of the games available for purchase on video tape or DVD? If anybody knows, please post here. Thanks!!
I have never seen any games for purchase however I did record the Championship game when it was on between the Tropics & Pelicans, who won the game.
APBA International Tabletop Game Company in 2005 were selling a fan created baseball card set which was based on the 1989/90 SPBA season which was created by Brian Davis & Stephen P. Soltis.
