Talk:Second deadball era
From BR Bullpen
I always thought that a "deadball era" had more to do with runs scored than batting averages. R/G dropped to ~3.4 in 1968, but rose considerably after expansion. --Just me 21:29, 17 August 2006 (EDT)
Everybody knows batting averages, but few people follow R/G. Especially back in 1912 or 1968. I thought about covering other aspects of the game, such as R/G, homers, etc., but decided to keep it simple with batting averages and ERA. - Randy 21:34 17 August 2006 (EDT)
Even if it wasn't common then, why not include it for the sake of explanation and information? It never hurts to educate people. - --Mischa 21:47, 17 August 2006 (EDT)
