Wasn't Savannah's baseball team operational in 1956 ? Unless I have a HUGE memory block, I was on the team for about 3 weeks (or 4) in early 1956. I had missed spring training due to the birth at that time of our first child, and joined the team after the season began. I wasn't there long, and was released by the club. My recollection is that it was affiliated with the Cincy Reds. Can someone check this out for me? ---Pitcher53
