Talk:Rick Langford
From BR Bullpen
Without wishing to denigrate Rick Langford's accomplishment of pitching 22 consecutive complete games in lively ball 1980, the AL record for consecutive compete games in a season is not 22, but 37, by Bill Dinneen in 1904 for the Boston Americans. Baseball-reference.com itself shows this on the Dinneen page, where his record for 1904 consists of 37 games, 37 starts and 37 CGs.
