Weren't the Rhode Island Red Sox in Pawtucket?

--- The 1977 Sporting News Guide says that they played in Pawtucket. I'll move it.

I think the point of naming them "Rhode Island" and not "Pawtucket" was that they were supposed to represent both cities (i.e. Pawtucket and Providence) which basically form a single metropolitan area.--Philippe 02:57, 18 Feb 2006 (EST)
