Should we add some indicator for minor league affiliates of minor league clubs? Something like Buffalo Bisons (minors) or Buffalo Bisons ([[International League|International]]) or Buffalo Bisons (Class [[AA]])? --MichaelEng 01:00, 23 August 2006 (EDT)
I suppose (minors) could be added, but I'm not sure it adds much. The Buffalo Bisons are linked to, so if you click on the link you'll see that it is a minor league team. Anybody else have an opinion? Should they even be listed? There are a lot of PCL teams that had minor league affiliates in the first half century (other top leagues too), finding these out might be pretty interesting. --Just me 07:14, 23 August 2006 (EDT)
I think they should definitely be included when known. I don't see a need to designate that the parent team was not an MLB one - people know which ones are major league and which aren't. - --Mischa 09:07, 23 August 2006 (EDT)
I agree that they shuold be included, I just though it might get confusing if there was a situation like this:
- Affiliate Los Angeles Angels 1932-1934; some other teams; Los Angeles Angels 1965-1976
where the two links are to different teams or in the Buffalo case where the was a "major league" team by the name as well, it just wasn't in existance in the same time period. --MichaelEng 09:04, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
For teams like the LA Angels, Milwaukee Brewers or Baltimore O's, it might make sense to leave in the league information, but not for the Rochester Red Wings, Buffalo Bisons or Syracuse Chiefs, who people would not mistake for a MLB club. - --Mischa 09:55, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
