Thanks for the input about my grandfather. He was very devoted to baseball and tried to pass the devotion to my brothers. My fondest memory of his ball playing was in the backyard teaching my younger brothers "the knuckle ball throw". He did comment several times he felt it was the best pitch back in the day. "Almost knock a man down". I do have several other articles from various newspapers from the time era, including where the Cleveland Indians wanted him to play on their team.
