Who cares about the betting on baseball as a manager? Not me. As a player, this guy is what makes baseball. Barry Bonds can hold Pete Rose's jockstrap if there was a comparsion. Screw the commissioner - put Pete in the Hall of Fame.

You're entitled to that opinion but I don't think a selfish, tax-evading hot dog is what makes baseball. I don't particularly care who can hold who's jockstrap. Rose clearly violated one of the rules of baseball then lied about it, then admitted it so that he could sell some books, but has never been repentant. That kind of disregard for the law does not warrant a Hall of Fame spot IMO. - --Mischa 07:39, 18 Apr 2006 (EDT)
