Talk:Open
From BR Bullpen
If you base the judgement on major league career, the PCL would appear to have less talent than the other 2 AAA leagues. However, many players chose to stay on the coast and earn as much (or more) than would in the majors (the eastern leagues). If you were in the IL or AA at the time you were trying to make it to the majors. The open classification was given to the PCL because it was angling to become the third major league. The cities in the PCL were bigger than the other two AAA leagues (LA was bigger than most major league cities). The case could be made that the talent level was higher than the IL or AA. --Just me 19:04, 5 May 2006 (EDT)
Can we rename this Open (classification)? --Scott 19:23, 5 May 2006 (EDT)
