Nick Adzick was my American History teacher at Clayton HS in St. Louis County. The comments from my fellow classmates regarding Nick Azick's life have been uniformly laudatory. He spoke often of the pursuit of excellence, and would ask, after exploring at length a day in early American History: "What kind of day was it?" The expected answer, voiced in unison by the class, was "A day like all days." His class was one of the highlights at a highschool that is among the elite public schools in the country.

Nick went from A ball to AAA when in spring training in Daytona Beach, Fl. He tore his rotator cuff which ended his quest to be a major league ball player for the STL. Cardinals. He has several friends today that went onto the majors. He played semi pro (Manager/player) for a few years after his injury while attending the University of Nebraska and became a high school history teacher and retired in 1996. The way he has carried himself thru life put him on a high pedistal for the rest of us to admire and appreciate. He is my father and friend.
