This section contradicts itself: known as Washington Senators (1901-60), Washington Nationals (1905-56). How could it be both? - --Mischa 12:01, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

It's complicated: the name was officially "Washington Nationals" for the first few decades of the team's existence, but everyone called them the Senators, so both names were in use. And it's a useful distinction to keep the name Senators as the main one for the two AL teams, and Nationals for the current NL franchise. The names were even more fluid for 19th century teams from Washington. --Philippe 14:06, 30 August 2011 (EDT)

I did not see them listed, unless they are listed elsewhere. I am showing that the Twins came out of the Kansas Cowboys and the sources to prove that they did. I will include them in the Washington Senators section as well.- Yuriy 43
