Talk:Milan-Trenton Twins

I have one source that lists them as the Milan-Trenton Twins, but another which says Milan replaced Springfield for the second half, and later moved to Trenton. Is this really one team or a moved team? --Just me 14:15, 16 Mar 2006 (EST)

Usually, the name Twins refers to a team that represents two cities simultaneously, so my theory is that's its only one team.--Philippe 14:28, 16 Mar 2006 (EST)

The Milan-Trenton Twins was one team shared by Milan and Trenton, Tennessee, which were about 13 miles apart. The franchise started the 1923 Kitty League season as the Springfield (TN) Blanket Makers but disbanded on July 9. A group of businessmen from both communities accepted the franchise on July 18 and the new team began play on the 25th. I don't yet have the names of their ballparks; both are referred to simply as the "local grounds." Trenton had been in the league the previous season. -- Kevin McCann (www.kittyleague.com), 17 July 2006
