I am the neice to one of the greatest baseball players in major league history!! it is a shame that he does not play but i get to see a lot more of him now and he has changed for the best! Mr.Elmo has loved the game since i can remember and i know that hes been into it longer than that, it is a shame that Major league baseball is now without him because to me, he brought just so much more to the game!! He got me into the game and it was great being a lil 6 year old so into it just to see her favOrite uncle play! After he got hurt he was devestated! knowing that you will never play the same again is a big downer especially when your just so talented as he was. He tried his hardest to stay in the game but in 2005 his career ended. Being probably his biggest fan on the field and off knowing that he can not do something that he loves also hurt me and the people that he was around. He came out of a not so rich neighbor hood and got out of a lot of hard times,so that was probably also one of his biggest acomplishments yet! Coming out of the Major League caused him to pick a higher standard...GOD. He is now more devoted than ever but yes...he still is kinda the same so thats pretty funny. My name is Allison and im almost 18 years old. And i love my Uncle Mike, he has taught me so much about life! And believe me when i say this Baseball is not as great without him!
