Wasn't there a major renovation pretty recently?

yes, I think once about 5 years ago and another more recently. It's a nice place - a relaxed atmosphere and very inexpensive. But I last went about 5 years ago.

According to the Paw Sox website, the park was renovated in 1998-99.
