Talk:Marvin Williams (minors02)

I didn't realize how good Marvin's career was since it was so spread out. He rarely had a bad year and had some pretty good ones at AA. He did okay his two times in AAA but never got a long look there. I'm guessing that with a fully integrated baseball world, Williams would have been in the majors - --Mischa 20:19, 26 June 2008 (EDT)

.401 with 45 HR in C ball at 32 and .322 with 26 HR in the Texas League at 36 - yeah, he would have gotten a look at the majors at the very least. The question is what kind of defense he played. With only 16 teams, Buzz Arlett and Ox Eckhardt stayed in the high minors. --Jeff 22:14, 26 June 2008 (EDT)

Given that he was still at second base well into his 30s, I'm imagining his defense couldn't have been that bad. - --Mischa 08:57, 27 June 2008 (EDT)
