Talk:Louisville Bats
From BR Bullpen
Baseball America'a Baseball Almanacs listed them as the RiverBats through 2004 season, and Bats in 2005. Is there a definitive timeline for the RiverBats to Bats change? --Just me 21:46, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)
Shouldn't the RiverBats and the Bats have separate pages? --Just me 18:03, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
I totally agree. However, I figured we should keep the one until we can figure out definitively when they changed from the RiverBats to the Bats. -Chisoxfan 18:04, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
Wikipedia claims they dropped the River in 2002, but the Almanacs kept the River through 2004 --Just me 18:09, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
Ballparkwatch.com list the Bats 2002-present. I gues its possible Baseball America was slow to recognize the change --Just me 18:12, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
OK, found the answer... the Bats media guide says they changed names after the 2001 season, so I guess that's as official a source as you can find... direct from the horse's mouth. -Chisoxfan 19:43, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
sounds good to me --Just me 19:55, 22 August 2006 (EDT)
Do we need a separate column for hitting coach in these charts? My concern is that if you add in every coach, it gets too cumbersome. I do think it is nice to have a list of coaches for each minor league team by year, though. - --Mischa 18:47, 15 July 2007 (EDT)
