His 1992 Topps card says he was signed by scout Noe Maduro. No scout is listed by that name in the 1985 or 1986 Guides. I don't have any later ones, so I don't know if its a typo or if he was a bird-dog type. --Jeff 01:20, 23 October 2009 (EDT)

Maduro was a minor league player who stayed active in Venezuelan baseball after his US time ended, so he could easily have been a bird dog scout. - --Mischa 09:17, 23 October 2009 (EDT)
