Jorge Fitch,

Jorge fitch played for several teams in the Mexican league but I saw him play many times for several seasons when he played for the Broncos of Reynosa (Tamaulipas, MX). He played for the latter team in the late '60s to early '70s. He threw and batted righthanded. Fitch was very dependable as a short stop and at the batters box. He was a reliable batter. Fitch was a very well-liked person. His career as baseball player was memorable; As a child in the mid '60s I had a copy of the book titled, "Who is Who in Mexican Baseball." There I found the name and statistics of Jorge Fitch; at that point he had played or quite a while so it looked like he was an old and retired player; but suddenly he was back in action and played successfully for many more seasons. There is certin feeling of nostalgia when a person reads a baseball statistics-book as the one mentioned above, especially when you see the ststistics of a player who seems to be retired and returns to the field.

Thank you,

José M. Pulido McAllen, TX
