Talk:Johnson City Yankees
From BR Bullpen
I would like to try to establish some contacts with former players of the Johnson City Yankees Baseball team of 1974. We should unite and form a correspondence and hopefully through some of our documents, pay tribute to a part of our lives to not be forgotten. I'm extremly interested in preserving a part of the baseball history of the Johnson City Yankees, and the great heritage of the Appalachian League, to supply the interested readers with information as it is gathered.I do know the wherabouts of several of 74' team members and would like to share them at this time. Jerry Narron is managing the Cinncinatti Reds and brother Johnny is hitting instructor for the Milwaukee Brewers. Terry Bevington, former manager of the Chicago White Sox and third base coach with Toronto, and Chicago, I was told is still in baseball. John Butler is at the University of Kentucky serving as their NCAA compliance director. Ken Kruppa is in Atlanta, a private business owner. Well as for me, I'm in Maryville Tennessee finishing up my 26th year as a Sales Rep in East Tn. Please put forth your contacts and let's try to start something that should have been done years ago. Sincerly, Chuck Murphy,O.F. 74'
