Note that with his name spelled DiMaggio in Baseball Families, he appears in the wrong order (before Dillon) in baseball families. But if spelled Dimaggio as in World War II Veterans, he posts correctly. --Ron 09:11, 6 Apr 2006 (EDT)

Hi! I can't write this article, because I'm not that good, but somebody really neeeds to expand on this. He is SO FAMOUS!! I noticed on the Main Page he was the first player to get a 6-figure contract. If he had been a contemporary of A-Rod, he might make $100 million per year, and earn it! Maybe! Think about it... at least 30 million per year. Anyway, there really should be a lot of info about Joe D. Probably a large number of books. And, if they haven't already, someone should make a movie about him. They can make a movie about a jerk like Jim Morrison and the Doors, but why can't they make more movies about ICONS like Joe. D? -- David-- 11:01 CST, 7 Feb. 2007

Baseball's Forgotten Heroes has a "Tom DiMaggio" listed as another member of the clan who appeared in the PCL. Doyle's DB does not bring him up. Did he play pre-1922? - --Mischa 12:45, 17 June 2007 (EDT)

According to Cramer's book on Dimaggio, Tom didn't play. He went into the fishing business to help the family. It was the younger boys that got to play. Tom did help negotiate Joe's minor league contracts though. --Jeff 22:57, 18 September 2007 (EDT)

Yeah Jeff, I've read Creamer's book, Vince and Dom were the only brothers who played in the major leagues (Vince was all over the place, Dom played for Boston). I'll see if I can fish that book out of somewhere and give some good info. Also, maybe a free use image or something Soxrock 21:20, 20 September 2007 (EDT)
