Crain was impressive during that Italy/Canada game, I just don't understand why they didn't bring him out sooner... Game was basically over at that point. Those fastballs would have come in handy much earlier in the game! --Oaktree_b 14:44, 10 March 2009 (EDT)

I guess Whitt thought Crain was his closer, so he was reluctant to bring him in when it still mattered. His management of the pitching staff as a whole was puzzling, I must say. --Philippe 20:09, 10 March 2009 (EDT)

some of the message boards are calling for Whitt's head on a silver platter, but I don't think it was entirely his fault. The Team as a whole looked kinda soft. Pitching can only get you so far, they needed more hits, and not so many errors on the field...--Oaktree_b 23:42, 11 March 2009 (EDT)
