There is an article from the Honolulu Advisor from the '03-'04 off-season that discusses that, though Jerome was listed at 180, he was actually 240 and wanted to split the difference and get to 210. [1]
There's a bit of misinformation here RE: rookies starting the post-season . . . Bob Walk made a post-season start between 1937 & Jerome's rookie appearance. I've no doubt that this statement is close to being true, but have no idea how to amend it -- anyone got a rookies starting post-season games list?
Maybe he was the 4th Giant rookie? and 1st Giant rookie since 1937? Cliff Melton was a rookie in the 1937 WS. --Jeff 20:12, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
