Talk:Jackie Jensen
From BR Bullpen
It is claimed that I am violating copyright law with my writeup of Jackie Jensen. I have many files of data on baseball persona. In Jensen's case, the applicable files are my master file, my SABRVets file (Military), my College file, my Records file (for Records set including those that have since been broken) and my tidbits file (miscellany). To generate my writeup here, I use a little FORTRAN Program I wrote called COBBLE. It works from the scraps and bits and pieces it finds in my files. To add to the confusion, Bill Lee used COBBLE for the same purpose when he wrote Baseball Necrology from his files garnered from newspaper obituaries and so the writeups could be similar in many cases. At any event, I have Bill's permission if that is the problem seen. So if there are any copyright infringements, it is the fault of COBBLE which is itself protected under copyright. No harm, no foul.
