Talk:Jack Morris
From BR Bullpen
"Historically, pitchers from the 20th century with 250 wins have gotten into the Hall." ?? What about Kaat, Blyleven, and John? --Jeff 01:29, 9 June 2007 (EDT)
I'd say remove it. - --Mischa 11:53, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
I'm probably the person that wrote that, and I stick by it. HISTORICALLY, it's true. What's more, I'd bet that Morris, Kaat, Blyleven, and John do get in eventually. Blyleven got over 50% of the BBWAA vote last time, Kaat has gotten as high as 30% of the vote, John has gotten as high as 30% of the vote, and Morris has gotten as high as 40% of the vote. All of them are still in active BBWAA voting except for Kaat, who is a very strong candidate for the Veterans Committee since six of the ten most similar players are in the Hall (and the most similar is Tommy John). Kaat got 63% of the Vets' vote in 2007. - Randy 12:22, 10 June 2007 (EDT)
