Talk:International League
From BR Bullpen
I have a couple different versions of 1886-1890 - one says International Association 1886-1890, one says only 1888-1890
---
Marshall Wright's book has IL throughout the period. The 1984 IL Record Book lists it as the International Association. Maybe Association was right after all. - --Mischa 21:12, 5 Mar 2006 (EST)
Actually as I look closer, both my sources (Encyclopedia of Minor League Baseball by Baseball America & Professional Basball Franchises by Peter Filichia) are pointing to International League 1886-1887 and International Association 1888-1890
Seems like leagues changed presidents every year in 1800's, but the 1890 International Association, 1891 Eastern Association, and 1982 Eastern League (for the part of the year anyway) all had the same president - Charles D. White, so that lineage makes sense at least--Just me 14:20, 8 Mar 2006 (EST)
[edit] Cities
I moved Hampton to its correct alphabetical spot. I see that the Tidewater Tides are listed as being in Norfolk, VA but I'm pretty sure they were in Portsmouth and then they moved to Norfolk in 1993. Should the Tidewater version be placed in its own city, Portsmouth, VA? --Leshii 12:25, 21 June 2006 (EDT)
Edit: They're already listed on Portsmouth's city page so I went ahead and moved it. --Leshii 12:25, 21 June 2006 (EDT)
Does anyone else have the problem of the League Season Summaries covering up part of the Teams, Managers, and Affiliation tables? -Chisoxfan 20:52, 12 April 2009 (EDT)
Yes. - --Mischa 21:10, 12 April 2009 (EDT)
Any suggestions as to how to fix it? -Chisoxfan 18:18, 25 April 2009 (EDT)
