I don't believe the Grays belonged to either of the leagues listed here, and, indeed, if one goes to the Bullpen's listings for those leagues, the Grays are not listed.

According to what I've read, the Grays were a member of the American Negro League in 1929, and Grays owner Cum Posey organized the East-West League in 1932, and then joined the Negro National League in 1935. The Grays were never a member of the ECL, even as an associate member. -- Couillaud 10:28, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
