Talk:Giuseppe Mazzanti
From BR Bullpen
I find it really interesting how all players from one country tend to end up in the same US system. Seattle has signed Mazzanti, Alex Liddi, Mario Chiarini, Claudio Liverziani and maybe more Italians. The only Italian I can think of in another system is the Cubs' Alessandro Maestri. The Mariners and Twins seem to be the biggest on the Netherlands - Gregory Halman, Kalian Sams, Loek van Mil, Wladimir Balentien, Alexander Smit, etc. Seattle just seems big internationally in general - they have a larger share of Taiwan's prospects too IIRC. And my Pirates of course almost never sign any international player unless they're very washed-up {see Masumi Kuwata) - --Mischa 10:14, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
The forward looking organizations are going to send scouts to new, untapped places to find the talent. The ones that don't will fall behind in the W/L column. Look at the NL vs. the AL in the 50's. --Jeff 12:48, 2 November 2007 (EDT)
