Was Gates Brown the guy that hit a double with a hot dog stuffed in his shirt? He messed up the uniform with ketchup & mustard when forced to slide. I'd put this in the article but I'm not sure if it's the right guy. Also it's difficult to verify - it doesn't show up in the box score or on retrosheet.

I heard him tell the story last night at a Tigers game. He said he was also fined $100.00 for messing up his uniform as well...
