It seems weird that neither Ezell nor Floyd wound up with the "right" team after the 1973 Manuel trade. Were both released in the off-season or traded again? I checked the 1974 Guide and it doesn't even list the Manuel trade in the extensive transactions section. What's going on? - --Mischa 20:42, 10 January 2007 (EST)

I was released in spring training by Orlando('74) and picked up by The Astros. Easy went on to coach a bunch of years in the bigs. Manuel is famous and Jim Fairey is probably somewhere in South Carolina enjoying life as he always did. Mike Floyd, Danville, Va. 8/26/07

Mr. Floyd,

A few questions for the article: 1) What did you do after your pro baseball career ended? 2) Where did you go to high school?

Also, you had listed that you were on the 1970 Texas League All-Star team but the 1971 Baseball Guide doesn't list you. Was this a mid-season All-Star team or postseason one?

Too bad you never got a chance in the majors.
