The andecdote should probably be explicitly quoted and cited, with the title, pages, etc rather than paraphrased. Also, Luciano was an American League umpire, how could he officiate a game between two National League teams? There is also another example of this in Rules and Lore of Baseball, by Rich Marazzi.
