I put the tilda in because the OBP was approximated based only off of hits, walks and at-bats. I also use it if I only have HBP, BB, AB and H (like early Mexican League seasons). Is this the right approach or should I leave the ~ out even if I am not using the official OBP formula with sac bunts and all of that? - --Mischa 13:20, 26 May 2006 (EDT)

I like the approximation sign. OBP can be hard to calculate the "official" way with HBP and moreso SF not always being accesible info --Just me 15:12, 26 May 2006 (EDT)
