Why did Barrow make the Hall of Fame? He had a losing record as a manager, unless I missed something.

He was the Yankees' general manager in their Ruth, et al. heyday.

Just a hunch that it has something to do with the 10 World Series and 14 AL pennants won while he was GM of the Yankees. He also scouted Honus Wagner.
