Yes, Stan Bréard was a slick-fielding Polish/French Canadian shortstop in the late 1930s and 1940s. He played for the Montreal Royals for a while but never made it to the Big Leagues as his bat was much weaker than his glove. --Philippe 10:31, 28 April 2008 (EDT)
