Talk:Don Robinson

Isn't it funny. I was looking at the box scores today and there's this 22 year old rookie for the Bucs, Zach Duke, who's peeled off 6 straight wins to start his rookie season. The last buc to do that was none other than....you got it....Don Robinson. So I decided to look this guy up and wow. Pretty good pitcher. 15 year career with an ERA under 4 over 1900+ innings. Kind of a poor man's Don Sutton. Never the best pitcher in the league but steady and a valued member of each team he played for. Here's hoping my Metskis can pull off a nice September run and make some noise this year. St Cloud MN August, 19, 2005 @ 06.36 CST

Yeah, Don was good. Never topped his rookie season but the Pirates kept him around for a decade for good reason. I'm writing summaries of the Pirates seasons and I'll be sure to mention him in the '78 summary. DJ
