Kind of odd that this former pitcher would be working at a convenient store....just goes to show that they didn't make then anything close to what they do now!

[edit] Very odd

It's very odd that this would happen and that he would be working at a convenient store. It just goes to show they didn't make anything close to what they do now.

[edit] The Royals Front Office Is Probably Behind This Tragedy As Well

Kansas City is terrible. Don't put it beyond them doing something to destroy a career! The let Johnny Damon go, they had former Major Leaguer Jason Grimsely at one time too. The Royals are awful and a shame to baseball anymore, just like the Lions are to football! -Anthony Thevenot

[edit] Baseball and real jobs

Even today a player with a short major league career won't make much money. One can earn six figures in Triple A ball, but few players get to play for years there. - Randy 13:15 29 December 2006 (EST)

I would completely agree Randy. -Anthony Thevenot

[edit] My Dad

True about the pay issue but he liked working in the neighborhood where he grew up and knew everyone and they knew him and loved him. My father was a very giving man and helped many people that came to that store and didn't always have enough money to buy bread or milk. It's a shame someone like Robert Muse who couldn't get off his lazy ass and get a job to make money instead of murdering my father is going to be eligible for parole in 13 years.
