Talk:Dayton Indians

When I was a boy in Dayton I attended a number of Indian games. They played at Hudson Field. I'm positive they were a St. Louis Browns farm team when I last saw them play. I moved away from Dayton in 1952. I'm sure they had a shortstop named Ray Rakar who was called up by the Browns.

I'm pretty sure I saw Minnie Minosa play for the Indians also. They televised some of the games. I think the announcer was Neal Van Ells. I'm not sure about the spelling of his name. I think he married Betty Clooney who was Rosemary Clooney's sister.
