Dang, must be some disgruntled Pirates fans writing the bios on here, there sure are a lot of anti-Dave Littlefield articles on this site.

I have written some but it's inescapable based off of analysis of the situation. The media in Pittsburgh has written similar things. My 2007 Baseball Almanac came in today and it says that "general manager Dave Littlefield's offseason strategy of loading up on veteran hitters failed miserably." I don't think he's the worst GM in Pirates history and maybe not the worst in baseball (I don't follow other teams closely) but his track record, viewed objectively, has not been positive. - --Mischa 17:27, 10 January 2007 (EST)
