[edit] Brad Hackett

This page written by Cevette's uncle makes the claim that Dan's grandfather "Brad Hackett toiled several season in the Phillies farm system in the 1960's" . I couldn't find any evidence of anyone by that name either in the Professional Baseball Players Database or the SABR Minor Leagues Database. Does anyone else have access to other sources that might clear this up? Kinston eagle 21:45, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

In another article, Dan's uncle states "Johnson City was one of the minor league homes of Dan's grandfather, Brad Hackett, when he played in the minors for the Phillies organization in the 1960's". Kinston eagle 21:49, 9 July 2008 (EDT)
Just found this article from the Wellsboro Agitator through google news. The quote is: "While on the subject of base- ball Jim Farrell of Mansfield is playing for a I'hilly (sic) farm club. Johnson City, Tennessee. Also with the same.club will be Brad Hackett of Elkland" Farrell does show up on the Prof. BB Player's DB. Kinston eagle 22:56, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

Farrell did play for Johnson City in 1960. No Hackett though. --Jeff 00:04, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

I think I'll add a very conditional line saying that he "may have" played some minor league ball and that contemporaneous accounts state that he was at least assigned to Johnson City citing the Agitator article. I'm also going to try writing to Cevette's uncle to see if he has anything more concrete like photos or clippings. Kinston eagle 06:52, 11 July 2008 (EDT)

Now that the article is as complete as I can possibly make it with the material I have at hand, I've written to Dan's uncle in hopes of getting some concrete proof Brad's career. Kinston eagle 19:44, 12 July 2008 (EDT)
