Amazing pitcher, he was killed by tuberculosis 4 years after being exposed to toxic chemicals in the war, had he lived through the horrible accident, he may have been the greatest pitcher of all time if he isn't right now. (Note: two problems with the above comment: 1) died 4 years after being exposed to chemicals in the war? He died 7 years after the war. 2) He was through before the US entered WWI. He was pretty bad in 1915 and 1916.
