Chico Salmon...a hero in game #2 of the 1969 World Series with his pinch-hit homerun in the bottom of the ninth off Chicago's Hank Aguirre as the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Cubs 5-4 on way to their World Championship. Salmon, a utility man in an infield that boasted golden glovers Brooks Robinson, Mark Belanger, and Dave Johnson was the talk of the town on that October afternoon in which he enjoyed reminiscing about up to his death in 2000.
