My recollection of travelling through there is that it is really one city, which the state line cuts through abitrarily. The fact that the stadium is on the Virginia side is only incidental. --Philippe 14:14, 30 Dec 2005 (EST)

We have family there. I consulted the resident Bristol expert. It sounds like it was one city that expanded. There isn't a natural barrier (a river), so the city expanded into Tennessee. The state line cuts through all kinds of places, including the lobby of a local hotel. I think there's a similar problem with the old Bluefield Orioles who play in West Virginia but their mailing address is in Virginia. --Scott 16:50, 30 Dec 2005 (EST)
