Talk:Boss Schmidt
From BR Bullpen
Why was his place of death changed? Source? - --Mischa 09:11, 19 September 2007 (EDT)
I'm changing back his places of birth and death so that they match the B-R stats page. I see no references to a "London, AR" birthplace, while there are lots of references to "Coal Hill", where his brother Walter Schmidt was also born. As for his place of death, one source says he died at his doctor's home in Altus, AR. The location of Clarksville, AR is apparently where he is buried. - Randy 17:33, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
In any case, Altus, Coal Hill, Clarksville and London are all within a 30-mile stretch northwest of Little Rock. - Randy 18:25, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
Please note that all of the changes I have made to death dates, etc are based on the latest issue of the SABR Biographical Research Committee Report. They will be integrated into the BR database at a later date. Please do not change them. --Philippe 18:41, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
All right, that's cool. As long as you have sources. I noticed Mischa's comment from 2007, and as you know there have previously been folks that sometimes changed things without sufficient basis. - Randy 18:47, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
If you see a whole bunch of changes at once from Philippe, it means that the SABR Bio Committee came out with their latest newsletter. - --Mischa 20:20, 10 May 2009 (EDT)
