Hi Bill: Just in case you're going over your site. I played on the amateur Class D team we won in '55? I usually batted behind you. I'm Dan Wemhoff, the left fielder, left handed also. I can't remeber our averages that yr. What was yours? I'm glad you made it to Detroit, but I always thought you were headed for the Yankees since they really scouted you. How was your career at Detroit? You're one of the few ballplayers to ever hit a HR the first time up. That you can be proud of and agaisnt NY? I was offered a Class D position with the Orioles but went to college and played there instead. Pappas used to come around the U of D whirlpool for his arm on occasion. He had quite a career. Especially missing a perfect game by one pitch with the Cubs. We played against U of M '56-'59. You must have been on it, but don't know if I kept track of our being teammates in the Detroit sandlots when getting to first.I was with U of D. I live outside Washington, D.C now practicing law. How's everything going with you? I visit Detroit where my brother lives in GP Farms every few years. Hope to get a chance to see the Tigers again in the WS and maybe talk to you at some point on a visit there.Dan Wemhoff
