There's a Bill Bryk who pitched in 1977 and a Bill Brykczynski who pitched from 1969-1972. Could these be the same guy? - --Mischa 19:08, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

The Bill Bryk who pitched in 1977 is the same guy, cuz he pitched for Beeville where he was managing. Can't find him 76 though --Jeff 21:24, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Think they're both the same guy? Just shortened his name to make it easier? --Jeff 21:27, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

It's possible. I emailed the Padres to investigate as he worked for them as recently as 2006 (and possibly still employed there for all I know). - --Mischa 21:43, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Positive confirmation from Bill Gayton of the Padres. Cool beans - my intuition proved correct this time. - --Mischa 12:03, 4 May 2007 (EDT)

I got an email from Bryk that he mailed Walla Walla, not Bend, in 1981. Could sources have mixed up him and P.J. Carey? - --Mischa 12:22, 9 May 2007 (EDT)

Johnson & Wolff must have them swapped. It makes much more sense for Carey to be in the Phillie organization and Bryk in the Padre chain. The 1982 Guide has Bryk at Walla Walla and Carey at Bend. --Jeff 12:29, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
