There is also a story of Bert, while playing third base, got down on his hands and knees to blow a bunt foul without touching it. I believe the umpire had to call the ball foul so a rule change was made prohibiting the blowing of the ball. Not sure if this was in the minor or major leagues, but I do remember Jack Brickhouse interviewing him about the incident while he was playing against the Chicago Cubs.
