I generally don't like these "Primarily wore number XX" things. For a legend like Hank Aaron, it's worth noting, but journeyman players might have worn 4 different numbers in a 7 year career, so saying "primarily wore" might mean a season and a half. What do others think? -Chisoxfan 15:20, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
There's a book that came out that lists every number ever worn by everybody (can't remember the name, I'm at work). So, if that's the reference, I'm okay with it, but it would be a real tedious fact to keep checking. I think its neat to know what numbers a guy wore. --Jeff 15:44, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
I personally don't care about uniform numbers worn, but I know many do and feel they should be left in. - --Mischa 16:27, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
I do think uniform numbers do belong. However, it's the vague statement "primarily wore number XX" that I don't like. Does that mean he wore the number for 2 years? For a decade? With what teams? "Primarily wore" means something different for every player. I think if this info is going to be included, it needs to be elaborated upon (as I've been trying to do when I encounter it), that's all. -Chisoxfan 16:50, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
I agree. The more specific the statements, the better. --Jeff 22:00, 9 March 2008 (EDT)
